Eri silk is known as ahimsa silk as well for the process to produce the silk without killing or causing any sort of harm to the the silkworm. Eri worm is grown only in the state of Assam in the NE India. This very special and beautiful hand-woven Eri silk fabric is made of organic hand spun thread that is naturally dyed with forest-gathered plants and that's why it is 100% natural silk. The texture of the fabric is coarse, fine, smooth and dense. It is very strong and durable.
